ICC Sydney’s celebration of First Nations art

Bujari Gamarruwa – ‘good day’ in Gadigal language. ICC Sydney acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which the venue stands – the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation.

ICC Sydney is proud to tell the story of our rich and vibrant community through First Nations art and you can find information about the First Nations artists – Gloria Tamerre Petyarre, Long Jack Phillipus Tjakamarra, Ronnie Tjampitjinpa and Charlie Tjapangati – and their artworks from our formal, curated collection within the ICC Sydney Art Collection as well as the Danie Mellor work located within the Darling Harbour public art collection.

Outside of the formal curated works, the team has engaged First Nations artists as part of the development of our Reconciliation Action Plan and to commemorate dates of significance such as National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week. We also seek to connect local artists with event organisers through our Legacy Program.
