The Cutaway, a NSW Government project delivered in partnership with Placemaking NSW, ICC Sydney and Darling Harbour Live, has revealed The Cutaway Conversations, a new docuseries exploring the stories, people and ideas that have shaped one of Sydney’s most distinctive cultural and event destinations.
Filmed across ICC Sydney’s A Quick Yarn podcast studio and within The Cutaway itself, the series offers audiences a rare behind-the-scenes look at the venue’s connection to Gadigal Country, architectural vision, construction journey, cultural significance and future role within the Barangaroo precinct.
Through conversations with First Nations knowledge holders, artists, designers, architects, construction, placemaking and venue operation leaders, the six-part series reveals the thinking, collaboration and cultural storytelling embedded within the venue’s design and operation.
Discover First Nations cultural heritage that informed the venue’s design, the craftsmanship behind its architectural elements, engineering challenges of creating the space beneath Barangaroo Reserve, and the role The Cutaway plays in bringing people together through shared experiences.
