ICC Sydney’s Michelle Zangari Appointed to the Board of the Venue Management Association

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by Legends Global, is proud to announce that Michelle Zangari, Senior Manager, Live Events, has been appointed to the Board of the Venue Management Association (VMA), the peak body for venue professionals across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Michelle joins the Board alongside newly elected members Houri Tapiki (Theatre Royal Sydney), Mark Jones (Melbourne Cricket Ground) and Geordie Miles (Spark Event Group | VIPeople). The VMA’s announcement highlights the leadership, expertise and industry perspective these new Board members will bring as the association continues to shape the future of the venue management profession.

With a career spanning 20 years in the entertainment and live events industry, Michelle is a highly respected venue and events management professional. Over her nine years at ICC Sydney, she has played a pivotal role in the success of the Live Events team, contributing to the delivery of 550+ live events across the 8,000‑seat TikTok Entertainment Centre and 2,500‑seat Darling Harbour Theatre since the venue opened.

ICC Sydney’s Live Events team has hosted globally recognised events from Elton John, Urzila Carlson, Charlie Puth, Les Misérables, Oprah and Michelle Obama. Under Michelle’s leadership, TikTok Entertainment Centre, formerly ICC Sydney Theatre, was named Pollstar’s 2025 Top Performing Theatre in Australia and New Zealand, a milestone achievement for the venue and the team.

Michelle is also an alumna of the VMA’s prestigious Venue Management School, completing both the twoyear program and most recently the Leadership Institute.
