ICC Sydney Loves: Panama Passionfruit

30 Nov 2017

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) is preparing for summer with the seasonal favourite, passionfruit – a star ingredient on Executive Chef Tony Panetta’s menu.

In line with the venue’s commitment to source fresh, seasonal ingredients with natural performance qualities from local producers, ICC Sydney has been working with Westview Limes, a premier boutique fruit and vegetable supplier.

Run by Clive West, an avid gardener-turned-farmer, Westview Limes is based in the mid-north coast of New South Wales, within the Macleay Valley – a region known for its fertile soil and temperate climate.

Alongside an ever-expanding passionfruit crop, Westview produces chillies, limes, lemons, cabbages, cauliflower, eggplants, beans and zucchinis, as well as delicious, award-winning sauces. Tony Panetta said that working collaboratively with suppliers like Clive West is key to delivering on ICC Sydney’s commitment to supporting the growth and success of regional businesses.

“We are thrilled to be receiving our first delivery of passionfruit from Westview Limes. Developing a partnership with local suppliers ensures we not only offer our guests the freshest produce, but it also reduces our environmental impact, while supporting Clive as he grows and diversifies business.”
