International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has earned acclaim in the 2025 New South Wales (NSW) Sommelier’s Wine List Awards for its exceptional showcase of premium local wines — a testament to the expertise of ICC Sydney’s Food and Beverage Manager and Sommelier, William Wilson.
Presented by the NSW Wine Industry Association and Destination NSW, the awards were judged by Dane Richards, editor of News for the Food Lover and President NSW Bailliage of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, and writer and editor Dom Sweeny.
The 2025 Best NSW Wine List in a Caterer or Functions Venue accolade underscores ICC Sydney’s unwavering commitment and expertise in supporting the NSW wine industry, proudly serving 100% local NSW wines to millions of event attendees across the venue each year. Since opening in December 2016, the venue has facilitated the distribution of more than 400,000 bottles of local wine at events and directed over A$77 million towards NSW food and wine producers.
William Wilson has been instrumental in curating the venue’s 100% NSW wine list, alongside ICC Sydney General Manager – Operations, Lynell Peck. Wilson’s industry connections and knowledge of local wines have played a key role in the venue’s contribution to regional suppliers, which in FY2024/25 is expected to reach A$9.8 million in direct expenditure for NSW food and beverage suppliers.
ICC Sydney Chief Executive Officer, Adam Mather-Brown is passionate about making a difference to people of NSW by championing local food and beverage.
