ICC Sydney has your holiday season entertainment all wrapped up

29 Nov 2022

Whether you’re treating yourself, your friends or family this summer, International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, presents more than 40 entertainment events to choose from at its iconic Aware Super Theatre, Darling Harbour Theatre and Exhibition Centre.

Almost 30 performances during the summer season alone are set to draw an estimated 98,000 visitors to enjoy a spectrum of events — from rock concerts to comedy, orchestral music performances to inspirational speakers and celebrity chefs to children’s classics.

This side of Christmas, Australia’s world class venue in the heart of Darling Harbour presents immersive experience Australian Geographic: Our Country. Holiday season classics The Muppet Christmas Carol in Concert and Love Actually in Concert will also play before the year is through.

ICC Sydney CEO and Group Director – Convention Centres, ASM Global (APAC), Geoff Donaghy said that there are live entertainment events of every genre for every taste.

“With a sizzling calendar of events this summer, we hope the diversity of our shows ensures something for everyone and we’re looking forward to continuing to safely welcome guests to live events across our venues.

“Give the gift of a live entertainment event experience this holiday season – the memories are sure to last a lifetime,” Donaghy said.

Early in the new year, visitors will be dazzled by performances from multi award-winning chef and best-selling author Yotam Ottolenghi, comedy extraordinaire Tom Segura and the world’s greatest ballet dancers from the Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Staatsballett Berlin, Australian Ballet and the Astana Opera Ballet join forces to present the Ballet International Gala III.

Australian national treasure singer, songwriter Darren Hayes says he is excited to perform his extraordinary catalogue of smash hits, which span a remarkable four decades on 7 February 2023.

“I really miss the electric feeling that only a live audience can bring! After 25 years in the music industry, I feel like we’ve grown up together. To sing these songs again after all we’ve been through over the last few years is going to feel like a family reunion. I’m beyond excited to see you at Aware Super Theatre in Sydney in February!,” Hayes said.

To see the summer of entertainment through with gusto, illustrious international artist Sting will be at Aware Super Theatre for two shows on 15 and 16 February 2023. Mesmerising indie folk artist Bon Iver will perform at the venue for the first time on 17 and 18 February 2023.

March will see more big-name acts grace the stage with Fantabulous – A sparkling musical event celebrating creativity headlined and created by Boy George live at Darling Harbour Theatre. Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling band OneRepublic will play on 11 March 2023. For the first time in six years, global sensation Lorde will make her anticipated return to Aware Super Theatre on 13 and 14 March 2023.
