30 Apr 2018

This month, ICC Sydney welcomed more than 1,200 business representatives and leaders from around the world to the prestigious Global Summit of Women from 26-28 April 2018.

The Summit brought individuals from across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors together to focus on women’s advancement in the global economy in line with the 2018 theme, ‘creating economies of shared value’.

The 2018 Summit was the first time the event had been held in a convention centre and ICC Sydney played host to a line-up of prominent and passionate international and Australian speakers including, The HonJulie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs Australia, UN Human Rights Council (Australia) Rapporteur, Elizabeth Broderick, Deloitte Australia CEO, Cindy Hook, Business Events Sydney CEO, Lyn Lewis-Smith and more.

Event organisers were attracted to ICC Sydney’s variety of event spaces, from the 2,500 capacity Darling Harbour Theatre that was used for keynotes and welcome addresses, to the numerous breakout meeting rooms where smaller, designated groups could focus on more specific issues within the broader conversation of the conference.
