Bujari Gamarruwa (Good day in the language of the Gadigal People),
This month I shared that after 30 years of venue management with ASM Global, I plan to step down from my full-time role as CEO of ICC Sydney at the end of August. It is with great pride that I reflect on the milestones of the past three decades. I want to express my appreciation to my network of event partners from around the world for the support and collaboration on thousands of business events over the years. It has been an absolute privilege to serve our teams, clients and community.
The team here at ICC Sydney has achieved many accolades, but I am most immensely proud of our investment in the strength of our people, and our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. I have every confidence that these important legacies will continue into the decades ahead.
Innovation is part of our DNA here at ICC Sydney and we recently upgraded our internet network to Wi-Fi 6 and 6e capable infrastructure, bolstering our world class event delivery services. As we welcome ever-expanding local, national and international events and growing numbers of attendees of all generations that expect high-tech solutions, we are proud to have further strengthened Sydney’s position as one of the world’s most desirable business events destinations.
In a first for Australian convention centres, ICC Sydney was elevated to Silver Tier status in Pride in Diversity’s Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) as announced at the Australian LGBTQIA+ Inclusion Awards.
