ICC Sydney’s Connect Outdoors service – networking opportunities reimagined

International Convention Centre Sydney’s outdoor entertaining service – Connect Outdoors, allows attendees to enjoy styled, reimagined networking opportunities featuring health and wellbeing culinary trends.
The venue’s refreshed service includes four outdoor networking packages that can be integrated into a broader event program,
complete with recommended theming solutions from the venue’s supply partner by D PLUS D Events.
The service is at the forefront of event trends and maintains the venue’s signature approach to providing a world class and innovative service. During spring, summer, autumn, and even on crisp and bright winter days in Sydney, you can capture the relaxing nature of the outdoors by taking your attendees beyond the standard and into the open air.
ICC Sydney’s CEO, Geoff Donaghy explained, “Our Connect Outdoors packages were introduced at a time of renewed demand for in person connection and experiences. Connect Outdoors optimises the venue’s ample open air vantage points that provide uninterrupted views across Darling Harbour and the stunning Sydney CBD skyline. Event organisers are invited to rethink their networking opportunities that take advantage of ICC Sydney’s outdoor spaces such as the Event Deck, balconies and foyers.”
Inspiring attendees to enjoy the expansive exteriors, ICC Sydney’s Connect Outdoor packages take the traditional catering break to a new level by seamlessly connecting attendees to areas where they can mingle, refuel and enjoy fresh, airy and ambient environments, all with sparkling Darling Harbour before them.
ICC Sydney Director of Culinary Services, Lynell Peck shared: “Delegates and guests can reconnect in a relaxed outdoor space, all while feeding their performance through a vast selection of menu options that champion local, seasonal, sustainably sourced, healthy food and beverage options. Taking a break in a different environment can facilitate conversations and networking and shift energy levels, helping attendees to refocus when they do go inside for event program sessions.”
Through ICC Sydney’s Coffee and Conversations package, tea and coffee break out areas set up outdoors give guests a chance to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The Connect and Revive package promotes wellness and mindfulness in an outdoor event space available for breakfast, brunch, breaks or sessions. An outdoor Rustic Winery Reception package will bring a summertime celebration to life and the Sky Deck Social Club concept is reminiscent of a tropical getaway — think sundowners, music and a relaxed atmosphere embedded into the event program.
