International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) and Australia’s flagship construction event Sydney Build Expo showcased just how well growth is fostered and supported with Sydney Build Expo 2024. The super-sized construction industry event, held in May 2024, featured more than 50,000 registered attendees engaged with 600+ exhibitors across six exhibition halls.
ICC Sydney met the unique requirements of this important event, supporting its growth in both exhibitor numbers and attendees with flexibility, exceptional service and support. This pivotal industry event continues to grow and is expected to exclusively utilise ICC Sydney’s seven exhibition halls in 2025.

Expansion at ICC Sydney
With both increased attendance and a larger event footprint, Sydney Build has enjoyed year-on-year growth in exhibitor, speaker and attendee numbers as well as its physical footprint. Utilising six exhibition halls in 2024, the 2025 expo is expected to require exclusive use of ICC Sydney’s Exhibition Centre.
Aligning Values
Bringing together some of the most influential construction and building experts, this event is designed to also create a vibrant community of professionals who are passionate about industry issues.Organisers created a program addressing key areas surrounding sustainability, diversity, mental health and women in construction. They required a venue that aligned with their values and community vision.
With sustainability at the core of ICC Sydney’s business practices and an event Legacy Program that fosters diversity, inclusion and the local community, organisers found ICC Sydney’s ethos an ideal match. The venue team assisted Sydney Build with diverting 71% of waste from landfill, further supporting their collective sustainability initiatives.
