ICC Sydney anchored the inaugural delivery of South by Southwest (SXSW) Sydney, the Asia Pacific’s largest innovation, culture, gaming, music and screen creative industries event. Activations at the venue included the SXSW Sydney Conference, SXSW Sydney Tech & Innovation Expo, SXSW Sydney Pitch competition and the SXSW Sydney Games Festival – including the world’s longest running major Esports tournament – the Intel® Extreme Masters. Welcoming thousands of delegates to more than 400 conference sessions featuring 700+ keynote speakers, 100 exhibitors at the Tech and Innovation Expo, and 6 film screenings from the likes of Baz Luhrmann, year one was a resounding success that showcased Sydney’s brains and beauty to the world.

SXSW Sydney brought ICC Sydney’s Legacy Program streams to life. Creating a hub for Innovators & Entrepreneurs, as well as Creative Industries, has left an incredible impact on the city of Sydney.
