ICC Sydney Celebrates Exemplary Team with Extraordinaires Awards

09 Jul 2024

Employer of choice International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, proudly announces the winning exemplary team members who were recognised in its prestigious Extraordinaires Awards 2024 program across 11 distinct categories including department awards.

Aligning with ICC Sydney’s corporate strategy that traverses both culture and business focus areas, the awards program is an opportunity to celebrate service excellence while fostering an environment where every team member is valued, inspired, and empowered to surpass their potential.

Geoff Donaghy, CEO at ICC Sydney and Group Director – Convention Centres, ASM Global (APAC), said the awards recognised outstanding performance in the workplace and reflected the venue management team’s approach to create a culture of vibrancy, positivity and wellbeing.

“At ICC Sydney, we are unwavering in our commitment to foster long term, fulfilling careers for our team members. Our team bands together to successfully deliver hundreds of exceptional events and welcomes millions of visitors to the venue each year – and our success is due to the excellence, dedication and positivity of our people.

“We believe that recognising outstanding talent, contribution and performance nurtures our strong network of skilled professionals, and it’s terrific to see our team coming together to support and celebrate each other’s successes.

“As we look ahead at our exciting calendar of events across the year ahead, we hope our 2024 award winners feel proud of their contribution in building on the world class reputation that ICC Sydney enjoys,” Mr Donaghy said.

The Extraordinaires Awards at ICC Sydney were elevated with moving and entertaining performances with the KARI Singers delivering an uplifting rendition of John Farnham’s hit, “That’s Freedom” in Wiradjuri language, and an array of contemporary ballads performed singer, musician and disability ambassador, Lara Nakhle.
