International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, hosted the world’s first Global Nature Positive Summit in a landmark event attended by around 1,000 delegates including international Ministers, environmental policy experts across government and corporate sectors, Indigenous Peoples and investors.
At the Summit, leaders explored effective ways to realise global commitments under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and how to accelerate collective action to drive investment in nature and strengthen activities to protect and repair the environment.
ICC Sydney collaborated with the Australian and New South Wales Governments’ Departments of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water to deliver the Global Nature Positive Summit.
ICC Sydney’s multipurpose spaces, service excellence and venue management expertise, enabled multiple delegations and key stakeholders to be brought together for the Summit.
ICC Sydney’s venue and team members supported the hosts to deliver a high-profile, low waste and carbon friendly event, with a focus on corporate social responsibility and professionalism.
ICC Sydney Chief Executive Officer, Adam Mather-Brown said the venue was immensely proud to be a part of the historic event as it hosted international environment leaders to meet, collaborate and seek to fast-track solutions for nature.
“As an example of a built environment that enhances nature and biodiversity and with our own commitments to positive environmental practices and a Nature Positive Sydney, we were perfectly placed to host a business event of this status.
“Together with federal and state agencies, our team was proud to plan and host this impactful event of international importance, offering a seamless experience for all attendees.
“Through meticulous advanced planning, stakeholder collaboration and innovative event delivery, organisers and attendees were able to focus on the matter at hand,” Mather-Brown said.
