ICC Sydney introduces new Event Logistics Department

As an organisation dedicated to constant small improvements, ICC Sydney has recently expanded upon its material management throughout the venue by launching an internal Event Logistics Department. By bringing this service in house, the new team will continue to provide the premium service previously offered by Agility to our clients and maintain the requirements for the safety, security and care for the building.

What is ICC Sydney Event Logistics?

The Event Logistics Department is responsible for the porterage of event materials to and from the Convention Centre loading dock and tenanted spaces within the Convention Centre. The recently launched team will provide an array of services for the Convention Centre building including manning of the dock within designated hours, acceptance of organiser materials with appropriate notice, forklifting services, forklift hire and ICC Sydney’s own Loading Dock Management System (LDMS) for organisers to schedule vehicles for their event.

Contractors, Production Companies and Event Suppliers in the Convention Centre

Under ICC Sydney’s current process, contractors, production companies and event suppliers are able to deliver organiser materials to the dock as well as manage the movement of their own materials to the event space. For safety reasons, an Event Logistics team member will be required to oversee these movements.

With the required notice, the Event Logistics Department is able to unload trucks and/or facilitate forklift hire at an additional fee. The ICC Sydney Procurement department will continue to service deliveries from ICC Sydney’s food and beverage suppliers.
