The Heads of Independent Coeducational Schools Conference is attended by over 130 executive, senior and middle level leaders from a diverse range of independent, co-educational schools across ACT & NSW. The goal of the conference is to challenge thinking, inspire action, transform learning and place co-educational schooling at the forefront of discussions about education for the future.
The theme of this years’ conference is “Tomorrow’s Trailblazers: Evolving Education, Transforming Societies”, encouraging a rich array of perspectives to be shared and the creation of an aspirational vision for the future. The 2025 HICES Conference will highlight how education and societal structures need to evolve to address the challenges of the future. At the same time, the Conference will be a celebration of the ways in which co-educational schools position students for success and cultivate optimism for the future by embracing diversity in all its forms. As independent schools we have the autonomy to implement innovative educational practices that can set us apart from other educational sectors and prepare young people for a rapidly changing world.
