Disrupting Tradition 2026

Disrupting Tradition: Innovative Strategies in Family & Estates Law 2026 is Australia’s most forward-thinking legal conference, designed for lawyers, firm leaders and allied professionals ready to challenge the status quo in legal practice.

Hosted by the Family Law Education Network and co-hosted by JustFund, this two-day event at ICC Sydney brings together over 400 delegates from across Australia and New Zealand. The program features senior members of the judiciary including Chief Justice Alstergren AO, Deputy Chief Judge McClelland, The Honourable Justice Altobelli AM, Justice Benjamin, Justice Jane Needham and Justice François Kunc, alongside more than 50 respected practitioners, technologists and industry leaders.

Across keynote sessions, curated breakout streams and panels, delegates will explore contemporary legal challenges, innovation in dispute resolution, estate planning, trauma-informed practice, leadership, technology adoption and wellbeing in practice. Sessions offer a minimum of 8 CLE/CPD points (in NSW), with additional on-demand content available post-conference.

Disrupting Tradition isn’t just another conference, it’s a movement aimed at reshaping how family and estates law is practised. Beyond the sessions, attendees benefit from curated networking, expert panels, and social moments including an iconic AfterParty and Happy Hour designed for genuine connection.
